Heath specializes in entitlement, strategic financing, land acquisition and development of real properties. Heath has developed thousands of units spanning over 30 years in the industry. Some of his most notable projects include Parkway Crossing, a large-scale mixed-use retail and student housing project located in Orem, Utah, Willow Springs Condominium project in Eagle Mountain, Stonebridge located in the Orem business park, as well as many others. Heath’s projects have succeeded based on his ability to increase the value of an unimproved property through creative design, rezoning, entitlement, and marketing. Heath grew up in Utah and leans on the deep roots and deep love he has for the beehive state. He feels most fulfilled when he is working on what others consider the impossible. Because of Heath’s tenacity and vision, he has worked tirelessly to bring history-making planned communities that will forever enhance the quality of life here on the Wasatch front.  Heath is driven to bring beautiful, useful and affordable projects to families and business owners in an effort to keep our communities viable and thriving.

Brad Jensen

Brad Jensen graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Business, with an emphasis in Finance. For the last 25 years, Brad has worked in corporate finance, mortgage and investment strategies, business and land acquisition, and large-scale project management. Brad also has real estate, mortgage, and development experience that spans the state of Utah for the last 15 years. He has a history of bringing large-scale and historic communities to the Wasatch front. Brad comes with a rare skill set of taking a huge vision and breaking down into a deliverable plan. Brad brings structure, systems, and implementation to RidgePoint Management. Brad's impeccable work has brought over 4,000 entitled lots, providing homes and commercial districts to Utah. He excels in communication, asset allocation, resource management, and investor relations.  Brad has an unsurpassed reputation, he knows that people are the most important resource we have; as a result, his personal and professional relationships are his top priority. Brad looks for the win-win in every project and keeps viability, profitability, and value as driving forces.  

Ryan Thompson

Ryan has mortgage, real estate, operations, and development experience spanning over 25 years. He received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah in Business Management. Early on in his career, Ryan was the Director of Real Estate for Wardley Better Homes and Gardens. While there, he oversaw almost every aspect of one of Utah’s first urban redevelopments and large-scale planned communities. He also led the way to refurbish a dilapidated and crime-ridden area, and turned it into a 1300 lot mixed-use walkable community. Ryan helped to create single-family homes, high-density housing, and commercial and retail districts to this new community. This project operated within the Redevelopment Agency, where Ryan responsibly utilized appropriated tax dollars to provide green space, parks, walking trails, street lights, sidewalks, and more, which created the first planned community in Northern Utah. Ryan also worked with numerous builders that helped create satellite lending offices for new construction and sales for every level of development from raw ground to vertical construction. In 2004, Ryan became a Principal Broker and has completed and assisted on thousands of real estate transactions over the last 15 years. 

Ronald Johnston, P.E., President of Construction Management

Ron graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and a Master of Engineering Science degree. He is a fully licensed Professional Engineer. A professional engineering license is the engineering profession's highest standard of competence in engineering. To receive a PE is a long, difficult, and rigorous process achieved only through intense study and mastery. Ron’s career spans over 5 decades with an impressive resume that hasn’t just served Utah, but has impacted our country at some of the highest levels of government. Ron worked for the Bureau of Reclamation and The Department of Interior throughout the Western United States for over 40 years. During his illustrious federal career, Ron worked on expansive federal water projects. For 13 years he represented the Secretary of the Interior in implementing the Central Utah Water Project Completion Act in Utah. Ron has also been a member of the United States Committee on Irrigation and Drainage for over 20 years. Ron now serves as our President of Construction Management and Lead Engineer. His vast expertise and far-reaching proficiency lead the way as we endeavor to bring the highest standards of engineering to our projects.

Susan Palmer, Entitlement Director

Susan is an invaluable part of RidgePoint Management. Her management and organizational skills keep projects running smoothly as she oversees the entitlement process. Susan works with local municipalities, city ordinances, zoning, permitting, and coordinating the complex and fundamental steps to getting our projects through the city and into production. Susan maintains a high level of proficiency as she moves forward our large-scale planned communities working with up to 8 or more cities at a time. She keeps us current on all necessary requirements, code updates, CCR requirements, permitting processes, architectural guidelines, special contingencies, and supportive documentation. Susan has over 30 years of experience in the Title Insurance Industry. She utilizes her vast title and land experience in our entitlements process. Susan’s knowledge of property and title integrates well into our expansive and complex projects handling all of our logistical needs.

Matthew Crane, Esq. Chief Legal Counsel

Matthew R. Crane is chief legal counsel for RidgePoint Management Group. He is responsible for all aspects of RidgePoint's legal affairs including real estate, finance, corporate, and litigation matters. Previously, Matt was a partner at a prominent Utah County law firm where he specialized in commercial transactions and complex litigation. During that time, Matt had a significant real estate practice representing buyers, sellers, owners, and developers in all aspects of the purchase, development, financing, and sale of commercial and residential properties. Matt received his Juris Doctor from J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where he served as Senior Editor for the BYU Law Review. He clerked for Baker & McKenzie in Geneva, Switzerland, where he focused on international real estate and business. Matt also speaks French. 

McKay Johnston, Controller

McKay graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is currently working on his Master of Business Administration degree. Throughout his career, he gained experience from overseeing the accounting and finances of several entities. He began his professional career at Windriver Oil Services working with the billing department for several years. He provided professional accounting services company-wide, including creating budgets and proformas. He assisted management to facilitate major growth and expansion while unremittingly working to find ways to save the company money. While working for Windriver, a job opportunity opened up where McKay could advance his career to the Controller at New Roads Behavior Health. Throughout his time at New Roads, he implemented many budget and operating changes that made the company more efficient. With ever-changing politics and insurance billing, he helped steer New Roads through industry-wide turbulence. McKay wanted to bring his experience to RidgePoint Management and made the transition a couple of years ago. He has implemented strategic controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and productivity within RidgePoint Management.
